The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Buckley Medical Clinic continues to honor scheduled appointments during the partial government shutdown. Our patient appointing service is open and still taking requests for appointments. We are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. All ancillary services (pharmacy and laboratory) also remain operational. As always, safe and high-quality healthcare remain our priority. Please call (719) 526-CARE (2273) to schedule or cancel appointments.

Urgent & Emergency Care

If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911
Buckley Space Force Base doesn’t offer urgent or emergency care services.

Urgent Care

If you’re unsure about whether you need urgent care, contact the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line to speak to a registered nurse. Visit MHSNurseAdviceLine.com for web chat and video chat, or dial 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273).

Urgent care appointments are currently limited though Jan. 3, 2022. If you’re at risk of loss of life, limb, or eyesight, call 911. Call ahead to make same day or next day appointments, and if appointments are not available, call the Nurse Advice Line. Due to limited access to urgent care appointments, family members can seek care at any TRICARE-authorized urgent care clinic without a referral. Thank you for your patience.

Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical situation (including mental health emergencies), call 911 immediately. Emergency care services treat life-threatening medical issues such as threats to your life, limbs, sight, or safety.
